Our Drie Freunde Rauch-Marzen is now on tap, perfect for the Oktoberfest season.
Rauchbier, literally “smoke beer,” is a historical throwback to the days when all malt had a smokey taste to it from the wood-fired drying process. Our Drei Freunde (Three Friends,) uses 60% Munich malt lightly smoked on the big rig at Batch Brewing Company in Corktown by Stephen, Jeff, and Mike. It’s a rich amber lager with plenty of toasty, caramelly malt flavor made extra savory by an overlay of mellow oak smoke.
Delicious by itself, and an excellent complement to hearty roasted foods, meat, cheese, and the like. Prost!
