Down In The Trenches

… literally. Still digging (and jackhammering, etc) for drains, and continually discovering remnants of buildings past beneath the surface. Whatever stood here before this building was only demolished to grade, and covered in about 8 inches of dirt before pouring the new slab. Fortunately, most of the old construction was brick, which can be dealt with by pick-axe and dug out; the spots where we encountered foot-plus deep concrete required large rental tools. At this point we’re on the downhill side of it, unless we disturb the Mole People
