So, dictated mainly by life safety and building codes, we need a new stairway, as our existing one is not up to the job. Said stairway will unfortunately not be in the existing location, so a new opening needed to be made in the 2nd floor deck. Says we: “Sawcutting and safely removing over a ton of concrete from overhead sounds like the perfect DIY project!” Needless to say, this had to be carefully planned down to the last detail.
